Jaipur is also popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan state, India.Jaipur is the former capital of the princely state of Jaipur. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler of Amber, the city today has a population of more than 5 million residents.

The city jaipur was established in 1727 by Maharaja Jai Singh II as the new capital of Kachwaha dynastyJaipur is located at 26.92° N 75.82° E.[2] It has an average elevation of 432 metres (1417 ft). Then the capital was shifted from the historical capital Amber, India.
